# Site Data Retention

Data retention controls how long operational records remain before the hourly cleanup cycle.

## Categories

- Form submission values
- Audit entries
- Analytics events and visitor identities
- Assistant conversations and action audit
- Email-marketing import/export artifacts
- Local admin sessions
- MCP token default and maximum TTL
- Recent daily backup sets

Most time-based fields offer bounded windows plus **Keep forever**. MCP values use hours; backup retention uses a count. Choose the shortest window that meets operational and compliance needs, then confirm downstream reporting or investigations do not require older records.

Use **Run cleanup now** only when you intend to apply the current policy immediately. Retention cleanup can remove data that is not recoverable from the live database.
