Accessibility | Cedros

Cedros wants its websites and product to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or reduced motion. This statement describes what we aim for, what we do, and where we know we fall short.

What this statement covers

This statement covers cedros.ai and the Cedros product that customers sign in to. It does not cover websites that customers build with Cedros; see Websites built with Cedros.

Our standard

We design and build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is our target. We have not had an independent audit, and we do not claim that every page or feature fully conforms today.

What we do

Keyboard use. Pages are built to be operated without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator and a "skip to main content" link.
Contrast. Our design standards set minimum contrast for text and controls in both light and dark modes.
Text size and layout. Pages are designed to remain usable when text is enlarged and on small screens.
Reduced motion. Animation is reduced or removed when your device asks for reduced motion.
Touch targets. Interactive controls are sized to be easy to activate on touch screens.
Images. Our tools prompt for text alternatives for images.
Testing. We run automated accessibility checks and automated tests of keyboard, focus, and labeling behavior.

Known limitations

We have not yet completed manual testing with screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA. Some components may not be announced correctly.
Automated checks find only some accessibility problems, and ours are advisory; they do not block a release.
Some interactions that rely on dragging, such as arranging content in the page builder and moving the dashboard globe, may be difficult to use without a pointer. Keyboard alternatives exist for some of these but not all.
Charts, maps, and other visualizations may not have complete text alternatives.
Content generated by AI features, and documents and media uploaded by users, may not be accessible.
Cedros is in beta, and new features can ship before their accessibility has been fully reviewed.

We treat accessibility problems as defects and fix them as we find them.

Websites built with Cedros

Businesses use Cedros to build their own websites. Cedros provides templates and tools intended to help them build accessible sites, but each business chooses its own content, colors, images, and custom code, and is responsible for the accessibility of its site. If you have trouble using a site built with Cedros, contact the business that operates it.

Third-party content

Some features rely on services we do not control, such as payment forms, sign-in pages, and embedded media. Their accessibility depends on the provider.

the page address;
what you were trying to do and what happened; and
the browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using.

We read every report and will reply to tell you what we can do.
