A visible path from question to synthesis

Frame the question

Give the panel the decision, relevant context, constraints, and what a useful answer should cover. A specific question produces a more useful discussion than a broad request for advice.

Choose the panel

Configure two to six members using available models and expertise lenses. The models you can choose depend on the providers configured for your site.

Compare and refine

Members respond and critique the reasoning. Configure the supported thinking rounds for a quick assessment or a more involved comparison. More model calls use more intelligence capacity.

Review the synthesis

Inspect the resulting recommendation alongside the members’ contributions. Look for disagreement, assumptions, and missing evidence rather than treating agreement between models as verification.

Return to the reasoning

Council sessions are saved so you can revisit the discussion and follow up with additional context. Keep the question, intermediate reasoning, and synthesis available for review.

Choose the questions worth the extra work

Examples include comparing launch options, finding weaknesses in a proposal, or testing a product-priority argument. Expertise lenses guide the models; they do not turn them into credentialed human advisers.

Does Council always use different AI providers?

No. The available providers and models depend on site configuration. Select the panel from the models actually available.

How large can a panel be?

The current configuration supports two to six members, with up to five thinking rounds.

Is a consensus guaranteed to be correct?

No. Multiple models can share errors or assumptions. Use the discussion to improve your evaluation and verify important claims.

Pressure-test the plan before committing to it.

Use Council to broaden the reasoning, then make the decision with your own judgment.
