Watch the customer experience

Use available web vitals and error information to investigate what visitors experience. A reachable server and a usable page are related but different checks.

Configure backup work

Review the supported backup scope, destination, encryption requirements, and schedule. Keep the credentials or recovery material needed to use an archive available to the authorized operator.

Review restore requirements

Inspect the selected archive and the expected recovery process before restoring. A database backup does not automatically prove that separately stored media or external-service data is included.

Connect monitoring to a response

Use appropriate health endpoints and external monitoring where required. Decide who should respond to a failure and how they will find the relevant operational context.

Test the recovery you depend on

Verify backup coverage and a restore in an appropriate environment. Document the required storage, providers, and configuration so the recovery plan reflects the actual deployed site.

Does a backup include every external service?

No. Coverage depends on the archive and storage configuration. Verify media and connected-provider data separately.

Is a successful backup the same as a tested restore?

No. A restore test verifies that the archive and required recovery material can produce the expected result.

Can an assistant read site-health information?

Yes. Supported site-health and observability tools expose operational information within the relevant permissions.
