Vault
Share the access the work needs.
Keep credentials in a dedicated workspace and control who can use them. Cedros Vault supports team and assistant workflows without making a copied secret the default way to collaborate.

Keep the credential and its access together
Organize the credentials
Store supported credential entries with useful names and context. Make it clear which service and task an entry belongs to without exposing the secret in ordinary descriptions.
Choose the access scope
Use the supported personal, team, and assistant access model. Grant the access required for a particular workflow rather than sharing every credential with every participant.
Connect supported services
Use Vault-backed secret references where the platform supports them for provider configuration. Keep the credential separate from ordinary settings and page content.
Control assistant use
Supported assistant workflows discover granted access and use the relevant permission checks. A listed credential is not an unrestricted permission to expose its value in a response or artifact.
Review access over time
Revisit grants when people, services, or tasks change. Rotate the underlying provider credential when required and update the supported reference deliberately.
Include the Vault in recovery planning
Understand the deployed Vault configuration and the recovery material required for its backups. Verify the authorized recovery path before relying on it during an incident.
Useful to know
Should I paste credentials into a page or prompt?
No. Use the supported Vault and secret-reference workflows for credentials the platform needs.
Does every assistant get access to every secret?
No. Access depends on the supported scope and grants for that workflow.
Is encryption the only security requirement?
No. Access policy, provider permissions, key handling, deployment, and recovery procedures also matter.
Give the team useful access with clear boundaries.
Manage credentials alongside the people and tools that need them.
