Refund Policy | Cedros

This Refund Policy explains when Cedros refunds fees you pay to Cedros for the Services. It summarizes and forms part of the Terms of Service; capitalized words have the meaning given there. If this policy and Section 24 of the Terms ever differ, the Terms control unless a separately executed agreement or order form says otherwise.

This policy covers purchases from Cedros. For something you bought from a business that uses Cedros, see Purchases from a Customer Site.

1. The general rule

Fees paid to Cedros are non-refundable, except where:

this policy or the Terms provide a refund;
an order form or a specific offer you accepted provides one; or
applicable law requires one.

2. Canceling a subscription

You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time using the cancellation option in your account or another method Cedros provides. Unless stated otherwise at purchase:

cancellation stops future renewals;
you keep access to the paid subscription until the end of the period you already paid for;
cancellation does not refund amounts already charged; and
usage-based and other charges incurred before cancellation remain payable.

3. When Cedros ends a paid Service

If Cedros permanently discontinues a paid Service, or terminates it for reasons not attributable to your material breach, fraud, or unlawful use, you are entitled to a prorated refund of prepaid subscription fees for the unused portion of that Service after it ends.

We will return an eligible refund through the original payment method where practicable, or arrange another lawful refund method with you. We will not require you to accept service credit instead of a refund.

4. Incorrect charges

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, such as a duplicate charge or a charge for the wrong amount, contact us promptly so we can investigate. We correct charges that we confirm were made in error.

5. What is not refundable

Unless Section 1 applies, the following are not refunded:

fees for Services already provided;
usage already incurred, including metered AI, communications, storage, and other provider usage;
separately purchased third-party services, which remain subject to their own terms. This includes provider charges billed to you directly when you connect your own provider account; and
promotional credits, which have no cash value unless the law or the offer says otherwise.

6. Purchases from a Customer Site

Businesses use Cedros to run their own websites and stores. If you bought a product or service from one of those businesses, that seller is responsible for the sale, including refunds and returns, and its own refund policy applies. Contact the seller first.

Cedros is not the seller or merchant of record for those purchases unless Cedros expressly identifies itself as such for the transaction. You can still report suspected fraud or unlawful conduct through Report Abuse.

7. Payments made with digital assets

If Cedros accepts digital assets as payment for Cedros Services, the supported asset, network, amount, and other conditions are shown at checkout or otherwise communicated to you. Blockchain transactions may be irreversible and network fees are generally not recoverable. Any refund rights remain subject to applicable law and the terms of the purchase. See Section 17 of the Terms.

8. Payment disputes and chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer; most billing problems can be resolved directly. Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback does not eliminate amounts legitimately owed under the Terms. Cedros may suspend affected Services while a payment dispute is unresolved where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or loss.

9. Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or other consumer right that applicable law gives you and that cannot be waived. Where the law gives you additional rights, those rights apply.

10. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with the subject Refund request from the email address on your account. Include:

your account or site identifier;
the charge date and amount; and
the reason for the request.

Do not send full card numbers, passwords, or private keys. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify the account and the charge. Once we issue a refund, the time it takes to appear depends on your payment provider.
