Use Contracts to see which requests are complete, find agreements still waiting for signatures, and send a fresh signing link to an eligible signer.
Find the request
- Open Grow → Contracts and go to Sent contracts.
- Choose a contract type from the filter, or use All types to see every type.
- Select All, Complete, Sent, or Canceled to narrow the list.
- Find the request by its name and contract type. Use the page controls if it is not on the first page.
- Select the request row to open that contract type's Requests list, then locate the same request there.
Opening a row shows the requests for its contract type. It does not open a separate page containing only that one request. Match the request name before using an action, especially when you have sent the same agreement more than once.
If a recent request is missing, return to All and All types, check other pages, and reload the page. If loading fails, resolve that error before treating an empty list as proof that the request was not created.
Read the status and signer count
The Signers column shows completed signers out of the total. For example, 1/2 means one of two signers has finished. It does not mean one email was delivered or opened.
The overview uses three broad status groups:
- Complete: the request has completed signing.
- Sent: the request is still pending. This can include a request whose links you are delivering yourself.
- Canceled: includes canceled, declined, and expired requests.
In the contract type's Requests list, declined and expired requests have their own Declined and Expired labels. Use that list to distinguish them from a request someone canceled. Its Canceled filter still groups those outcomes together.
The Awaiting signature and Signed totals count requests, not individual people. Ready to send on the overview counts prepared templates, not outstanding requests.
Updated shows when the record last changed. It is not proof that a recipient read the email. Likewise, a Sent label alone does not guarantee that a signing link is still within its expiry period.
Find the signer who can receive a reminder
In the Requests list, wait for the signer names to load beneath the request name. If there is an error, select Retry signer details before using reminder actions.
Open the request's actions menu. Depending on the signer's current state, you may see:
- Remind [name]: send a fresh invitation to a signer who has already been sent an invitation or opened the request.
- Send to [name]: email an invitation to an eligible signer who is still awaiting one, including a request originally created for manual link delivery.
With All at once signing, more than one unfinished signer may be available. With Sequential signing, the actions are limited to the current eligible signer or group. A later signer must wait for the earlier steps to finish.
The list shows the request's signer names and completion count. The actions identify who is currently eligible for an invitation; a missing reminder action does not, by itself, prove that person has signed.
Send a reminder
- Confirm the request name and the signer named in the action.
- Select Remind [name] or Send to [name]. Selecting it queues an email immediately; there is no separate reminder confirmation.
- Wait for Signing email queued with a new secure link.
- Ask the signer to use the newest invitation and check their spam folder if it does not arrive.
A fresh invitation replaces that signer's previous signing link. Older emails and manually shared copies of the old link stop working. Avoid repeatedly selecting Remind while someone is trying to sign.
The success message confirms queueing, not inbox delivery. If email is not arriving, check Setting up outgoing email delivery before sending more reminders.
Use these actions on the existing request. Send, Send contract, and Send another create a separate request; they are not reminder buttons. See Sending a contract for signature.
When a reminder is unavailable or fails
- Signer names are still loading: wait for the details, or use Retry signer details after a load error.
- Your account is read-only: ask your administrator to check your contract access. See Why can’t I see or edit a feature?.
- It is another signer's turn: check the existing request's signing sequence. Do not create a duplicate request just to reach a later signer.
- The request is complete, canceled, declined, or expired: it cannot continue through an ordinary reminder. Decide whether a new request is needed after reviewing the outcome.
- The action reports that only the current eligible signer can receive an email: reload the request list and check its current state. The person may have finished, the request may have expired, or its next signer may now be eligible.
- The reminder times out or the page reports an error afterward: reload and check the request before retrying. The email may already have been queued even if refreshing the page failed; another reminder would replace the link again.
A reminder does not extend an expired request or correct a recipient's email address. For a wrong recipient or agreement, follow the pending-request cancellation and correction steps in Sending a contract for signature.
Check progress after following up
Return to the request list and reload it to check the latest Status and Signers count. Look for the request under Complete once signing is finished. Its actions then include Download signed documents.
If someone says they have signed but the request remains open, check that they used the correct request and finished their signing step. A partially completed form or an opened link is not a completed signature. Another signer may still need to finish.
For unresolved problems, include the request name, contract type, visible status, completion count, approximate reminder time, and exact error when asking for help. Keep private signing links out of public support posts.
