Use Grow → Focus → Reflect to record what went well, why it happened, and what you want to build on next. Use a Weekly review to look across your recent work, capture a summary, and decide what needs attention.
These records belong to your signed-in account on the site. A daily reflection is your account of the day; a planning review captures a summary and progress counts. Neither completes your to-dos or sends an update to your team.
Record today's wins
- Open Grow → Focus and select Reflect. The top card starts on Today.
- Enter a win, such as “The customer approved the revised proposal.” Use Add win for another entry, or press Enter in the last win field.
- Select Add why and next step to reveal Why it happened and What builds on it. Add the useful lesson and a next step.
- Select Finish today when you have finished reflecting. The card shows Finished.
- Wait for Saved just now in the Focus header before leaving.
A win can be a completed action, a useful decision, or something you learned. For example, “The proposal was approved” becomes more useful with “We resolved the delivery questions before sending it” and “Use the same checklist for the next proposal.”
You need at least one nonempty win to finish the day. Why it happened and What builds on it are optional. Empty rows do not create saved entries.
Your text saves automatically while you write, so you can leave a reflection in progress and return later. Finish today marks the reflection finished; it is not the only way to save your writing. Select Reopen to correct a finished day, then finish it again when ready.
Start from completed work
If you completed Focus to-dos on the selected date, Reflect can offer their titles as suggested wins. Select a title to add it, or use Add all as wins when several suggestions are shown.
The strip shows up to four suggestions at a time. Add all applies to those displayed suggestions; more may appear after you add them. Titles already logged for that day are left out, and repeated titles are combined in the suggestion list.
These suggestions come from completed to-dos, not from an assessment of everything you accomplished. You can write a win yourself if it is missing, then add why it mattered and what follows from it. Adding a suggested win does not change the original to-do.
To remove a win, use its Remove win control. For an entry containing saved text, the Win removed message offers Undo, which restores the win and its details. Use Undo while the message is available if you removed the wrong entry. Removing the last entry removes that day's log.
Return to an earlier day
Earlier days shows the previous seven days within your logging history. Select a logged day's row to read it. In progress means it has writing but has not been finished; expand it and select Continue this day to resume.
For a finished day, expand the row and select Reopen. The editor at the top switches to that date. Check the date before making changes, then select Finish day when ready. Finishing an earlier day returns the editor to today; Back to today also lets you return without finishing it.
A Not logged row offers Log so you can fill a recent gap. Gaps appear only after your first logged day; a new account does not start with a list of missed days. There is no general date picker for adding an arbitrary older day.
Use Show … older days to read older entries that already exist. The recent window is a way to browse your log, not a seven-day deletion policy. The “Logged … of the last 7 days” count includes entries still in progress; it does not mean every counted day is finished.
Dates follow your device's local calendar. A reflection for an earlier date stays attached to that date when you reopen it.
Complete a weekly review
A planning review is available from the Time for your weekly review recommendation: select Start review. To open the review directly, go to /admin/grow/focus/review on your site while signed in.
The title follows Focus → Settings → Check-in cadence. Choose Weekly for a weekly review; Daily and Monthly use the same review flow for their respective periods. The recommendation appears when there is relevant work and the period has not already been reviewed, so it may not always be present.
- Open the review and check the completed, open, and blocked counts.
- Look back at your daily reflections and completed work to identify what moved forward and what got in the way.
- Write a Review summary with the result, the main obstacle or lesson, and the next priority.
- Select Mark reviewed to record the review and close the dialog.
- Check the save indicator on Goals, then open History to find the saved review.
For a weekly review, completed work counts to-dos finished since Monday, across your Focus lists. Open work comes from This Week; blocked work is the blocked subset of those open to-dos. The counts describe the current period through the time of review, rather than automatically summarizing the whole previous week.
The saved review keeps its summary and counts as they were when you marked it reviewed. Later edits to your plan do not rewrite that snapshot. Marking another review creates another record, and the next review starts with a fresh summary field.
Close leaves the review unmarked. Changes to the summary still autosave, so closing the dialog is not a way to discard its text.
The Mark week reviewed action in the This Week plan and the review action in Relationships acknowledge those plans. They do not create this summary record. Use Mark reviewed in the review dialog when you want an entry in review history.
Find completed work and saved reviews
Select History in the Focus header to see completed to-dos and recorded reviews grouped by week. The default range is Last 30 days. Use History range to choose This week, Last 90 days, or All history, and Filter finished work… to narrow the list by a task, outcome, or review summary.
If nothing matches, select Show all history to clear the search and widen the range. The summary figures at the top use their own reporting windows; filtering the list does not recalculate those figures.
Each week's actions menu includes Copy this week as text. It copies the work and reviews currently shown for that week, so clear any unwanted filters first. Copying puts text on your clipboard; it does not send or publish an update.
Individual completed-work history is kept for 180 days. Reviews are retained separately and can remain after their underlying to-dos age out. History is a read-only view of that work and those reviews; your daily reflection entries live in Reflect.
Use what you learn to update your actual plan. A next step written under What builds on it does not automatically create a to-do. Planning your day, week, and month with Focus explains how to add it. For follow-ups involving particular people, see Tracking relationship goals.
Control assistant context and resolve problems
Recent reflection entries can be included as Focus context for the assistant when that setting is enabled. Use Focus settings from Reflect and review Let Cedros agents use active goals as planning context. Turning it off excludes this Focus context; it does not delete your saved reflections or erase information already included in an earlier conversation.
Finish today asks for a win. Enter text in a win field. Details in Why it happened or What builds on it alone do not satisfy that requirement.
A day or review seems missing. Check Earlier days in Reflect for the daily log, and widen the range in History for recorded reviews. An unfinished review summary does not become a history entry until you select Mark reviewed.
Changes will not save or load. Keep the page open and preserve important unsaved text. Use Retry save for a save error or Retry personal Focus for a load error. Resolve the error before assuming your history is empty.
Focus changed in another tab. Review the conflict before choosing Use latest or Keep mine. Use latest replaces your current draft and discards local unsaved changes. Keep mine retains your current version and tries to save it.
Controls are read-only. You need content access to edit your personal Focus. See feature access.
